So hopefully if your here, you will have seen the bit picture from Seattle as you entered the site. Now, for one reason of another I think theres definite potential for a funny caption to go with this picture.

So I lay down the challenge to you all, who can come up with the funniest caption, leave your suggestions here. The prize for the best is that it goes on the front page, such an honour!

Karine Polwart, a Scottish folk singer, is playing at the Woodend Barn on the 12th April (which also happens to be Laurie's birthday).

There are a few people going to the concert already (myself, Laurie, Caitlin, Dave) but it would be cool if more people were to come. She's very good and is quite a big name for the Woodend Barn.

Tickets are £13.50 at can be booked by phoning 01330825431. If you fancy it, book asap as the Piper had a full-page spread about the gig last week and so there might have been a lot of tickets might sold since then.

You can listen to some of her songs at this address:

Into Room 101 for me goes two things...take note-
1. People who walk really slowly in the street then just stop...they don't even look behind them...why waste time walking somewhere when you can enjoy the time more at the place you are going?
2. People who read over your shoulder. Some guy once read a paper with me on the train-not cool-i folded it up and put it away after page one...

If you think I'm misinformed as to the cleanliness of dreadlocks, try cutting one. The resultant smell will support my opinion.

Well I guess I HAD to reply to this Room 101 message! I think that you are purely misinformed on the subject, having lived with dreads for over 2 years. Although many teenagers think dreadlocks are a way to get out of keeping clean, that does not have to be the case. I used many bottles of "Dread Shampoo" when I had my hair in locks, which actually kept my hair cleaner than using normal shampoo, as it stripped it of all residue, without leaving any scent or smell.

I liked being able to combat people's stereotyped views and first impressions by showing them that I was a Christian who didn't drink alcohol or take drugs, rather than a hgih school drop out with no potential. Perhaps the style is more suited to those with a different charisma or music taste, but should that stop people expressing themselves in the way they want?

Oh well...

Room 101

Message id: 107

Tell me about it.

I check it at least 3 times a week to see if there's anything new but there never is. Suppose I should really add something instead of complain about the problem so here goes:

In the fashion of 'Room 101', the BBC show in which celebrities are invited to discuss their hates with the host in the hope that they will convince the host to banish them to Room 101, in other words, bin them, get rid of them.

I'll start by giving one...

Dreadlocks.

They are hideous things that should be banned forever. Usually worn by young, impressionable youths who have nothing better to do than grow their hair, dreadlocks are much dirtier than normal hair. I remember reading somewhere that they have up to 1000 times the bacteria levels of 'normal hair'.

Health reasons are not the only reasons for the banning of dreadlocks. In case anyone hadn't noticed, they look ridiculous. Particularly on pale, skinny, white teenagers.

Enough said.
